The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is in trouble.

As a resident of Bonneville County and a veteran law enforcement officer, I want to see Bonneville County remain a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.  Today our Sheriff's office is not able to deliver the comprehensive package of services it did just a few years ago.  The damage to the department is severe and needs to be fixed now, before it gets worse.
 
Under current management, the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office is losing large numbers of trained and experienced deputies. In the last three years, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office has lost 1/3 of its employees.  These are the deputies with 5,10, and even 15 years experience. The Sheriff's office has become a training ground for other agencies. This has caused a serious drain on resources, doubled costs, and compromised the ability to do effective law enforcement.
